Hi! I am an education student from the University of Alberta in the final practicum of my degree. I will be in Victoria until the end of August 2010, and will be finishing up my practicum here in Victoria as well as two option classes through UVic. I will be working in daycamps during the summer months. I am an outdoor person who absolutely loves working with children, and who loves spending time with pets, especially dogs:) I am fun loving, filled with energy, honest and trustworthy. My enthusiasm to work with your kids and or/pets will show!

I am very much an outdoors person. I love all sports, and have in the past played high level rugby. I also love soccer, baseball, hockey (ice and field), badminton, tubing, swimming,rockclimbing, surfing, skating, basketball and volleyball. Right now, I am spending a lot of my spare time writting lesson plans and unit plans, that my students will enjoy. I also love poetry, drama, theatre, improvisation and writting. I am originally from Québec city, but I grew up in Victoria. I am completely fluent in both, french and english.

Experience in child care:
As previously mentionned, I will be finished my bachelor of Education degree at the end of June. I have done a lot of work in the classroom, including three practicums teaching (one of these I am currently doing), where I have had to deal with children of all types. I have been an assistant coach for a basket ball team, I have tutored kids and adults of all ages in various areas including french, english, math and science, and I have been a language assistant within three different schools, where my primary focus was to enhance the francophone culture and pride within the school, while having kids learn more about french. I am currently helping coach a rugby team as well,for the duration of my practicum. I have also worked in summer camps the last two years, and have given leadership camps as well supervise the outdoors club students on outings.

I grew up with many animals. For most of my life, I grew up with three dogs. I had a Golden Retreiver, a yorkie-poodle as well as a Giant Poodle. I also had a fish tank for most of my life, and for a period of time have I also had some birds, some chickens, a hedgehog and a hamster. I love pets of all kinds, but dogs are truly my expertise. I love them to death and can deal with them very well. I love the outdoors as much as them!
